  • Dr George Dragasevich

    Bachelor of Science,Masters of Chiropractic, Masters of Chiropractic Sports

    Founding Principal and Director of Phoenix Recovery Centre

    George graduated from the University of Waterloo (Canada) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Honors) in 1986. He then went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Chiropractic from Macquarie University in 1992. George completed a further Master’s Degree in Chiropractic Sports Science from Macquarie University in 2000. George is a member of the Chiropractors and Osteopaths College of Australasia.

    George was the official chiropractor to the Australian Olympic Swimming Team for nine years. George is recognised as the first ever chiropractor to be asked to look after the Australian Swimming Team and Olympic team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

    George regularly attends seminars throughout Australia and overseas, keeping up to date on all of the latest techniques. Right from the very beginning of his career, George chose to specialise in sporting injuries.

    With passion and drive, George continues to provide the very best care for all patients at Phoenix Recovery Centre. He applies and oversees the application of the latest innovative techniques and technology throughout Phoenix.

  • Dr Mario Pribicevic

    Bachelor of Science, Masters of Chiropractic, PhD Sports Chiropractor

    Dr. Mario Pribicevic, BSC.M.Chiro.PhD is a Sports Chiropractor, practising on the northern beaches of Sydney. He has significant clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal disorders for athletes at both the elite and amateur levels.

    Mario completed his undergraduate studies at Sydney University, which was followed by a Master of Chiropractic degree from Macquarie University. He is employed part time at Macquarie and tutors/lectures postgraduate master of chiropractic students in orthopaedic diagnosis of the spine and extremities. Mario also tutors/lectures students who are in their final year of sports medicine study. He is a clinical competency examiner for final year students prior to their completion of postgraduate study.

    Mario is active in research with a number of projects currently underway. Over the past seven years, his research has focused on the shoulder, which led to the completion of a PhD degree title “Chiropractic Management of the Shoulder.”

    Dr. Pribicevic has published widely in this area in peer-reviewed journals, including a number of systematic reviews investigating manipulative therapy management of extremities. He has completed and will shortly publish the results of the largest worldwide randomised controlled clinical trial for chiropractic treatment of the shoulder. In addition, he has published a book chapter on shoulder pain epidemiology.

    Dr. Pribicevic has presented at numerous sports medicine and chiropractic conferences, both nationally and internationally. He is a peer reviewer for a number of journals and an external examiner for Master of Research dissertations. He has supervised numerous research projects for final year students at Macquarie University.

  • Dr. Marie Markovina

    Masters of Chiropractic from Macquarie University Chiropractor, B. Chiro Science, M. Chiro

    Marie has over four years of professional practice as a qualified Chiropractor and has been involved in a family owned Chiropractic clinic since the age of 15. She completed her Masters of Chiropractic from Macquarie University in 2013.

    Being heavily involved in numerous sports as a child, Marie decided from an early age to merge her interests of sports and healing, which ultimately lead her to join the team at Phoenix Recovery.

    Always eager to learn more, she regularly attends seminars to learn and expand her knowledge base to be able to provide the optimal treatments for her patients including; Shockwave Therapy, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation) and RockTape.

    For the last 2 years she has been working with the Manly Wolves Australian Rules Football Club as one of their resident chiropractors helping the players with sports injury prevention and management.

    Outside of Phoenix Recovery, she continues to pursue her interests in sport through practicing martial arts – including both Taekwondo and Kumdo (Korean sword fighting).

  • Tom Waldie

    Masters of Chiropractic & Bachelor’s of Chiropractic at Macquarie University

    Tom underwent his bachelor’s of Chiropractic at Macquarie University and went on to complete his Masters in 2018. He has a background in all sports and codes ranging from AFL to CrossFit. Being a keen gym goer and fitness enthusiast, he has developed a longing for understanding the function and movement of the human body and more importantly, how to make it better.

    Tom specialises in sports Chiropractic, which involves an evidence-based approach to the diagnosis and management of sporting injuries, sports performance enhancement, nutrition, exercise and functional rehabilitation.

    Tom is the head sports chiropractor managing various sports on the Northern Beaches such as Brookvale FC mens Premier League team and their Reserve Grade team. He has also worked closely with the Manly Wolves mens Premier League and Reserve Grade teams, Manly Bombers (Junior AFL), Narraweena Hawks (A-Grade Rugby league), Fairfield Maulers (A-Grade Rugby league) and Ultimate Spirit (Taekwondo).

  • Aaron Della Vedova

    Naturopath, Nutritionist

    Aaron’s journey in the health space began with his health challenges, spanning over a decade. Having slipped through the cracks for several medical systems, both natural and conventional, he started on a journey to heal himself. Through this process, he developed a passion for supporting people through their health challenges.

    As a trained naturopath and nutritionist, his science-based approach of “testing not guessing” allows us to get an understanding of the links between gut health, hormones, chronic pain, blood sugar, auto-immunity, and brain function. Aaron’s core philosophy and what the research suggests is that there is an interplay between all body systems, and this has allowed him to get results working with thousands of clients.

    His unique approach has led him to work with people from all walks and stages of life, including children, corporate professionals, mums, and professional athletes to achieve higher energy, lower stress, reduce pain, and overall stronger resilience.

    Aarons passions that extend beyond health are photography, soccer, writing, and meditation.
